Carl Wayne Wesley, AKA Wayne Wesley, was born and raised in Chester Pennsylvania. Attracted to music at an early age, his maternal Grandmother purchased him a red medal flake snare drum. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elder Wesley, noticed the passion Wayne had for music and arranged private lessons. Wayne’s percussion teacher was world famous percussionist, Joe Merrello. In 1979, Wayne auditioned for the United States Army Band, and attended the Armed Forces School of Music in Little Creek Virginia. As a career percussionist in the US Army Band, Wayne toured Europe with the United States Army Band Europe, where he was featured as a soloist with the Concert Orchestra and Jazz Big Band. Wayne has performed for every US President from Ronald Regan to George Bush, Jr.

Some of Wayne’s performances accomplishments: Fiddler on the Roof, Benjamin Briton’s Noah’s Flood, The Cotton Club Review, Dave Brubeck’s Light in the Wilderness, Parade of American Music, Cats, My Fair Lady, A Tribute to Broadway, Handel’s Messiah, and Crowns, and Phantom of the Opera. Wayne has also worked as a sideman for the Savannah Symphony Orchestra, and the Percussionist for the Savannah Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Teddy Adams.
