Jacob Lake

Jake began playing the trumpet as a child and fell in love with the instrument. He is an accomplished trumpet and flugelhorn player who has performed over the years with many of the "Philly Sound" bands, including “Brass Roots”, the “Salutation Organization”, the “Tellup Boyz” and the “Heartbeats”. Jake has also fronted his own small jazz groups and has recorded numerous CDs. The high notes that emanate from his trumpet helps to give our big band it's "punch". Jake is well-known for his Dizzy Gillespie styled trumpet which has that "big" sound.
