Jermaine Miles
Bass Guitar
Jermaine Miles, bass guitarist, started playing the drums at the age of 11 but quickly switched over to the bass guitar. After taking music lessons all throughout school, by high school he had progressed to the point where he made the All-City Orchestra. In high school, Jermaine began playing with gospel groups and he played on shows with Fred Hammond, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and Hezekiah Walker.
Soon afterward, he began playing in R&B groups, including Kindred—The Family Soul. During the approximately 8 years he played with them, they toured with Jill Scott and Musiq Soul Child, to name a few. Jermaine also has recorded two albums with Bishop Bruce Parham and Chris Graham.
Jermaine is excited that he is now getting the opportunity to play jazz with the “Jazz Crew” small ensemble.
