Phoenix Morgan

Guitar

Phoenix Morgan started playing the guitar at the age of eleven, but, after a few years, lost the interest. He picked up the guitar again at the age of sixteen and has been going strong ever since.

By the age of eighteen, he had progressed to the point where he began playing with various local bands. By his thirties, Phoenix was known as one of Philly’s top guitar players! He had toured with national acts, such as “The Blue Notes”, “Ray, Goodman & Brown”, and Myles Jaye.

Phoenix has also played with local bands that opened up for “Lakeside”, “Ohio Players”, and the “Bar-Kays” at the Dell East. He also put together his own band, the “Phoenix Morgan Revue”, in 2014 and they have been working since then.

Phoenix’s guitar playing has been influenced by Jesse Johnson of the Tyme and his jazz “chops” have been inspired by George Benson.
